London - Together with Vodafone McLaren will end soon. British telecom firm contract that will expire at the end of the 2013 season and they will not extend it.
The contract between McLaren and Vodafone has been underway since 2007. However, since last season has been rumored that Vodafone will not renew his contract after the 2013 season ended.
So far, Vodafone has become one of the biggest advocates of McLaren. They even get the rights to the team showed a common name, a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.
Who will be the new Vodafone successor will be announced in December.
"Our focus now is to present the results for our partners during the 2013 season. We will announce major partnership for the naming matter towards the end of the year," said McLaren team principal, Martin Whitmarsh, in the Autosport.
Prior to working with Vodafone, McLaren also worked with West, making his team name to West McLaren Mercedes. At times much longer than that, they also worked with Marlboro.
